Dr. Jagdish Chaturvedi is recognized as one of the 35 young innovators under the age of 35, by the MIT Technology Review, 2016. From the very first minute he came on stage, Dr. Chaturvedi was very ENT-ertaining. In this TEDx talk, he narrates his story about how he was able to invent more than 18 medical devices even before he aged 32 years, Adding a touch of humour to his words, he discusses on how his early practice in rural areas inspired him to make medical treatments cost-effective and then led him to inventing these devices. “Even though I invented some good devices, my mentor thought that I was just barking about all of it. So, I wrote a book!” He concludes by saying that no idea is big or small, if you think it can bring a good change.

Dr. Jagdish Chaturvedi dons many hats; an ENT Surgeon, serial medical device innovator, author, and stand-up comedian. Since 2010, he has co-invented and developed 18 affordable medical devices addressing the unmet needs in the Indian healthcare system, including an invention called EMR, which is considered to be one of the top 30 technological innovations in India. Dwelling on the benefits of failing, in this talk, he describes how failure keeps a person grounded and says that it is important to realize that no matter how prepared a person is, mistakes are inevitable in life.
He is currently Director, Clinical Innovations and Partnerships at Innaccel Technologies, and recognized as one of the 35 top Innovators under the age of 35 by the MIT Technology Review 2016.

Dr. Jagdish Chaturvedi is an ENT surgeon by profession from St. John’s medical college and hospital, Bangalore and a medical device inventor with 18 patent devices in his pocket. He was trained at Stanford- India biodesign and holds a degree in Entrepreneurship and Hospital management.
